Two weeks since school has started, the Latinos-Unidos club had their first meeting for the new school year. The meeting took place in room E-305 on August the 20th. The meetings are held once a month. There are no dues at all! Everyone is welcome to join the club and enjoy themselves. Fear not because that was the purpose of the club. Mr. Gonzales, a Foreign Language teacher here at South, created the club. Mr.Gonzalez created the club to spread the idea of Promoting the Hispanic heritage in our community. 📷
Now if you want to only come for the big fun stuff then come to the Latinos-Unidos during Hispanic month and Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). For all the seniors who plan to join the club, they do plan on giving cords at the end of the year. After going to the club itself, the club was a nice place to hangout and talk. I was able to eat food brought in by Mr.Gonzalez, I got the chance to talk to the people there and they were very nice and fun to talk too. Overall, if you want a place to hangout and talk to people, it’s a festive and calm place to be. 📷
In the future, They plan on whacking piñtas right before Christmas break! Which if you have never experienced before, it’s incredibly fun. For those who do want to join, the next meeting will be in September but that is all the information available. So join the club, you won’t regret it. Again it is room E-305 📷
