The definition of a psychopath and a sociopath according to Healthline, “ A sociopath is a term used to describe someone who has Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD).”The difference between them is that a sociopath can form connections to others unlike, psychopaths who only form connections for their benefit but don’t have any genuine bonds. There are very famous psychopaths and sociopaths in history from criminal to political. Here are the ones people should know about.
The first one you should know about is Ed Gein (psychopath). Ed gein was born in La Crosse, Washington in August of 1906. He was known as the Butcher of Plainfield Ghoul but went by other names also. He had 2 confirmed murders and 9 mutilated corpses. He was known for shooting his victims and then cut up the remains of the corpses for his collection.
Another one you should know about is Charles Manson (psychopath) . He was born in November of 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a cult leader in the mid to late 1960s’, his cult was named the “Manson’s Family”. His followers murdered 9 people in the summer of 1969. He also committed murders himself but, he convinced other people to do the same.
The third one you should know about is Richard Ramirez (sociopath). He was born in February of 1960 in El Paso, Texas. He was known as the “Night Stalker”, he was a burglar, rapist, and killer. He went on a rampage during the mid-’80s in southern California. He had a total of 14 victims and was sentenced to death row.
Jeffrey R. MacDonald (sociopath) was a physician who murdered his pregnant wife and two daughters. He was born in October of 1943 in the state of New York. He viciously stabbed and clubbed his wife and daughters multiple times. Unlike the other killers listed, he is still alive today.
Diane Downs (sociopath) was born in early August of 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona. She murdered her daughter and attempted to murder her other two children in the early ‘80s. She shot her kids on the side of the road so she can continue the affair she was having. She was sentenced to life in prison.
