Ratatouille the Musical

Amari Rudison

As everyone recalls, 2020 wasn’t the best year ever; it had its ups and downs. But, when 2020 came Tiktok came about and everyone went to entertain themselves virtually which led to an amazing creation of “Ratatouille” The Musical. The Broadway stars, voice actors, and a couple of students came together to create various dances and songs to add to this animated film. The image below was created by artist Jesstive Siswick who was inspired due to the Tiktok videos.

“Many creators thought it was a long-shot before it could coalesce in real life. But on Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern time, “Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical” will take shape as a virtual benefit performance, with Tituss Burgess starring as Remy the rat.” Quote from NY Times. This event has sold over 80,000 tickets just for the pre-filmed show.

And this was all done without any leadership, videos created by various songs, dances, makeup looks, set designs, puppets, all inspired by the 2007 movie. Tiktok has definitely changed everyone and now you can make Broadway shows with the help of singing strangers and famous actors.
